kellista1) so the Gov't of Canada made the "commitment to maternal and child health" that they are so fucking self-righteous about excluding abortions from at the g8/g20 meeting. The amount of new money? 1.1 billion dollars over five years. The amount spent on the toronto summit? 1.3 billion and counting! way to go, Harper!
2) Toronto Police Staff-Supt. Jeff McGuire: "Our reaction is a fair and balanced measure of reaction to what we see," he said. "Yesterday, we had a full-scale riot in this city." Well said!

4) It was a nice idea but the G20 rejected the "Robin Hood Tax" which would have had banks pay a tiny percentage of each financial transaction in rich markets to offer hundreds of billions annually to help the 64 million people forced into poverty by the economic crisis....they're still okay with massively subsidizing dirty oil and coal, though, sorry Gulf Coast.
5) over 900 arrests at this point. i'm subliminally attracted to the right wing media all of a sudden..
